October 6, 2004, age 82 years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy nee Witzack. Father of the late Richard C Pawelke and Janice William Prietzel. Grandfather of Tony Prietzel and Jeni John Shane. Great Grandfather of Elizabeth, Jake, Mackenzie and Carson. Brother of Eileen the late Robert Bosch and Gustav June Pawelke. Preceded in death by his parents Adelaide Nee Schumacher and Gustav Pawelke. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation Monday, October 11, 2004, 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home with Vigil Service at 6:30 PM. Funeral Service Tuesday, 9:30 AM from the Funeral Home to IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery.
Life member and past Commander of Corp. Henry Schafer VFW Post 2923. Member of George Washington Bay View Post 180 with combined ritual at 6 PM. Milwaukee County War Memorial Center 1995-1996 Veteran of the Year. Life member of the Military Order of the Cooties, officer in the 3rd District, and Past Seam Squirrel of Pup Tent 28. Also member of the 8th Air Force Historical Society.
