Harenda, Raymond J.

Passed away on March 24, 2015 at the age of 88. Survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Grace. Father of Mark (Sharon), Perry (Shari), and Mary (Andy) Wones. Proud grandfather of Tony, Ann (Brent), Zachary, Nicholas, Ben, and Chloe. Great-grandfather of Maya and Brayden. Brother of Evelyn Bednarek and the late Gilbert Harenda. Loved by many more nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters in-law, other relatives and friends.

Ray was a homebuilder and will be remembered for his dedication to family, work ethic, sense of humor, and amazing ability to persevere. He was a Polish Mazur dancer and avid gardener. He graduated from South Division High School and served in World War II in the Asiatic Pacific Theater earning two bronze stars.

A special thanks to the staff at Hickory Park and Care Wisconsin for their care of Ray.

A Celebration of Ray’s Life and Visitation will take place on Monday, at the funeral home, from 4 PM – 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, at 10 AM, at ST. ELIZABETH ANN SETON CHURCH (12700 W. HOWARD AVE.). Entombment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
