Patricia F. Risch passed away peacefully March 3, 2026 at the age of 73.  Patty was the daughter of the late Ruth Jane and the late Donald A. Couillard. She was a loving sister to Karen (the late Duane) Luick, the late Donald “Donnie” Couillard, Gary (Audrey) Couillard, and Beth Couillard.

Beloved wife of A. “Jim” Risch for 53 years. Patricia was the loving mother of Nicole (Henry) Breuer and stepmother to Dean (Yvonne) Risch and Eric Metz.  Doting grandma to Faith, Henry Jr., Amy (Ben), and Eric (Tina), and Great-Grandma to seven.

Patty was also godmother and aunt to the late Jenni and to Josh (Heather). Further survived by nieces and nephews, Kim (Nathan), Brandon, Amy, Stacey, Shawn, and Adam, along with many other relatives and dear friends.

She had a particularly tender heart for animals and was known as a passionate protector and rescuer of strays. If there was an animal in need, Patty was often the one who stepped in to help. She also treasured time spent “up north,” where she found peace in nature and time with those she loved.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, March 20, 2026, from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM, with a Service to begin at 12:30 PM at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (16880 W. National Ave., New Berlin). Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to MADACC (Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission) in Patty’s honor:

I really like the way Patty’s personality shines through in these photos. Did you get any candid moments during the ceremony?

A shout out to Patty’s family, both the Risches and the Coulliards, for the beautiful farewell gathering…so appropriate and touching. And a special shout out to Jim for those heartfelt words of goodbye that you shared with all.
