Patricia “Pattie” Nielson
(nee Cook) was reunited with her loving parents Russell and Rose Cook on October 18th, 2022. She was 76. Pattie is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Tom) Coston. She is further survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a wealth of other relatives and friends.
Pattie was an avid reader, and her life was dedicated to sharing the joy of learning both with her own daughter and with the countless children whose lives she touched. Pattie spent a number of years teaching across multiple grades at several schools in the Greater Milwaukee Area. She finished out her career teaching computer science, an appropriate bookend for the foundational training she shared at many retail events as computers began inserting themselves into our lives in the early 90’s.
A piano player herself, Pattie loved music of all genres, especially Celtic music, and was proud of her Irish and Italian heritage. Pattie also enjoyed needlepoint and a variety of yarncrafts. Her smile and frequent expressions of “I love you” were a joy to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
