Patricia Ann Knapp “Patty”

  • A celebration of Patty’s life is being held on December 2nd, 2023 noon till 4pm.
  • It’ll be at Kulwicki Park pavilion 10777 W Coldspring Rd. Greenfield, WI 53228.

Called home on Sunday, October 29,2023 at the age of 70 years. Beloved wife of 50 years and best friend of Anthony “Tony” Knapp.  Loving mom of Kelly Knapp and Sarah (Mark) Bergmann.  Proud grandma of Kayla, Bella and Willie.  Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Patty was a young supportive wife of a Vietnam Army veteran. Supporting him at every twist and turn in that crazy journey from Germany back to the US, she never left his side. No matter what life threw at them over the years she was also the optimistic one. And, although the odds were stacked against them, they became happy parents of 2 girls in the late 70’s. Through those years she was the guiding light through motherhood. Guiding her kids through life.

Patty was a family-first person. Always supporting and guiding, she had an inept ability to find the positive in every situation no matter how grim the outcome seemed. She was a confidant to her family, friends, her kids, and her kids’ friends. She saw the positive in people that most would have turned their backs. She would have helped everyone if she could. Her personality and infectious laugh were recognizable at every gathering.

She was an avid crafter, loving to learn all the DIY projects she could learn, especially cross-point stitching. She later passed that love down to her Grandkids who would carry this on. Gardening, baking, sewing, swimming, and a great novel she enjoyed.

Later in life, you could find Patty at the race track, navigating the country on the back of a Harley, car show, craft fair, or attending fundraisers. But most importantly being a grandma to her 3 grandchildren. Patty spent every moment she had with them from Zoo, Arcades, Shopping swimming, crafts, cooking, manis/pedis, movies, etc. Her Grandkids brought out her inner child. Her grandkids were the apple of her eye.

Lastly, Patty had a love for her dogs. Most recently Scooby. We know she is now surrounded by Scooby, Sadie, Jake, and all the other dogs. If so desired, memorials to the Wisconsin Humane Society, www.wihumane.org is appreciated.
