Norma Jane Feeney Hauger

Norma Jane Feeney Hauger died peacefully at her home in Muskego, Wisconsin on August 20th, 2025 at the age of 92. She is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Roger R. Hauger, Sr., her children Jennifer (Steven) Stern, Roger Hauger Jr., J. Andrew (Carrie) Hauger, Mariah Eknes, and Bridget Davenport; her grandchildren Angela Balles, Michelle Balles, Jonathan Ross, Tulani Lyon, R. Jarret Hauger, Peyton Maylen, Jessica Borsellino, Morgan Williams, Peter Hauger, and Jacob Davenport; thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael F. Feeney and Agnes Robertson, and siblings Michael F. Feeney, Jr., Doris Smith, Donald Feeney, and Shirley Anne Dowden.

Jane was born in Louisville, Kentucky and was a 1951 graduate of Loretto High School. She worked as an administrative assistant at the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Office, where her intelligence and strong work ethic earned her early promotion. Jane remained intellectually curious throughout her life, especially about people, history, and the arts. She took her children to visit all forty-eight continental U.S. states, many national parks, and constantly purposed to organize meaningful, educational, and fun experiences for her family. She visited every presidential home in the United States and attended every one of her grandchildren’s high school and college graduations. In her later years, she became a proficient family historian.

Jane was a faithful Catholic with a great devotion to the Blessed Mother and the Holy Rosary. She was a committed parish member and volunteer no matter where she lived, but most recently spent many years as a dedicated parishioner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Bradford, Indiana.

Jane met her husband, Roger Roy Hauger, Sr., in 1958 and quickly became enamored with his gentle manners and good looks. Their marriage included moves to North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and Indiana. Jane dedicated her life to raising her five children and supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who knew her simply as “Gram.” She was a generous soul with a natural compassion for the young and vulnerable. Jane extended all her love to every person she met.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST CATHOLIC CHURCH (8500 W. Coldspring Road, Greenfield, WI) at 11:00 am with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12:00pm. Family burial will be at Hardinsburg Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Indiana on Monday, September 1st, 2025 at 11:00am.

Aunt Jane was my godmother. I have a black and white photograph of Jane smiling holding me and looking down at me thinking what a beautiful baby boy. The church was St Columba in the West End of Louisville. So may we all be happy and joyful because Jane has and will continue to see the face of God

Our deepest condolences to Uncle Roger and family. Aunt Jane was always sweet and kind. My memories go back to Hardinsburg, Indiana where, as a young boy, I met this special beloved lady from Louisville as she and Uncle Roger fell in love. She was always easy to be around, easy to love and she was full of life. She cared about others and loved her family. We will miss her. greatly. Sending all our love, and prayers for comfort as you navigate this tremendous loss.
