Minnie was our family matriarch. We all respected, loved and cherished her. She was extremely hard-working, abundantly good hearted, THE cook extraordinaire, comical, an adventuresome traveller, a devoted parent, very devout and one of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met! I feel so blessed that she was a big part of my life and honored to call her my Auntie. It must be quite a celebration for her with all of her loved ones upstairs.

Norma and Clifford
Grandma Adeline, Bob and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. Minnie was very special to us and the entire Abuya family. I am so glad that you brought her to Adeline’s 100th birthday party. She loved her time with Minnie and they shared so many phone calls even thought they lived so far away. Mom also enjoyed her visits and the times she spent the night when we came up to Wisconsin. The world was a better place for us when she was in it. She also took care me when my Mom was in the hospital when Jan was born. And, of course, we were all delighted that she was Julie’s sitter when she was young. We will all miss her kind, smiles and her delightful sense of humor.
And a special love to Norma, who was Minnie’s devoted daughter and caretaker. She was blessed to have you. I know you loved each other VERY much!
With loving thoughts to you all,
Adeline Abuya and Judy and Bob Vanderboom
