Michael T. Paape

June 17th 2013 Michael Thomas Paape, age 62, passed to his heavenly reward after a two and a half year fight against Colon cancer. Survived by his loving wife, Nancy (née Kniss), son, Terrance, and loving daughter, Michelle Michelson. Further survived by his Mother, Marion Paape, Father, Arthur (deceased), sisters Donna Reuter, Patricia Donnell, Joyce Irving (Mike), Linda Schroeder, and brothers Gerald Paape (Cheryl), Richard Paape, Robert (Karin) Paape, Dennis (Dawn) Paape.

Michael was surrounded by loved ones in his final days and passed comfortably at Zilbur hospice. Family would like to give special thanks to Lori Cook, Mike’s home hospice nurse, the Aurora VNA Hospice and Home Health Team and the Zilbur Hospice Team- especially the nurses, for all the compassionate care they provided to both Michael and family in his final days.

Visitation and viewing Friday, June 21st, from 4pm to 6:45pm at THE FUNERAL HOME, with a service to celebrate Michael’s life, and a balloon release, to follow at 7pm. For full family and biographical information, please see the Funeral Home website.
