Michael Paul Brandofina

Michael Paul Brandofina passed away peacefully on April 17, 2025, at age 79 with his family by his side. A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he left behind a legacy filled with selflessness, generosity, kindness, and humor.

Mike was born in Brooklyn, NY, on July 22, 1945. At the age of 5, his family relocated to Kenosha, WI, where he grew up and eventually met his wife, Cheryl at a teenage bar. He had a passion for music and baseball. A fan of the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers, Mike would listen to games on the radio and attend them at the stadium. He was an avid fan and baseball card collector as well. His true love was music. He started a record collection at a very young age, and it grew to well over 20,000. His ‘record room’ in the basement was something people only dreamed of. Filled with what seemed like every vinyl from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, the record room was Mike’s ‘man cave,’ his comforting space. You would often find him down there listening to Elvis, The Beatles, or The Everly Brothers. He had at least 6 record players, a jukebox, and a radio in almost every room of the house, including the garage and shed. He and Cheryl would always enjoy relaxing on the back patio, listening to music after supper.

Mike was no stranger to hard work. He had a successful 45-year career with J.I. Case where he was promoted several times. He also proudly defended our country during the Vietnam War. But above all, he was the most loving and wonderful dad and grandpa. Mike’s family was everything to him, and he made sure that he spent as much time as possible making sure that they knew he loved them. A devoted father, he showered his kids with unconditional love and would take the shirt off his back to do anything for them at the drop of a hat. He loved spending time with his grandkids, spoiling them every chance he got. Mike was the foundation of our family, our rock, our biggest fan, and the most caring and supportive role model we could have asked for. We will cherish these memories forever. We love you.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl (nee Landry), of 58 years, and children Amy (Jake) Heinitz, Marc (Casey) Brandofina, and Steven Brandofina. Grandpa of Carter, Kaylee, and Kendall. Brother of Rosary (Tom) McQuestion, Debbie Brandofina, and Gary (Rosemary) Brandofina. Brother-in-law of Darcy (Jerry) Bonnet, Debbie (Tim) Toporsh, and Mardell McHenry. Also, further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Michael Brandofina Sr., brother, Paul Brandofina, mother and father-in-law, Audrey and Elmer Landry, and brother-in-law Edd McHenry.

Visitation will be held on April 25th, 2025, from 10-11:30 am at Heritage Funeral Home (9200 S. 27th St., Oak Creek, WI, 53154). A funeral service will follow at 11:30 am. Burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery (3301 E. Forest Hill Ave, Oak Creek, WI, 53154) immediately following the service at 12:30 pm.

    Dear Brandofina family,

My thoughts and prayers are with you to give you strength for the time ahead without Mike. He was a regular customer at Farm & Fleet and always had a smile on his face. I would ask how “Little Amy”, as we affectionately referred to Amy, was doing.

Again, so sorry for your loss in such a nice, caring man. If only all customers were as nice as Mike.
