Michael James
Halase

Michael James Halase

Born on December 28, 1951, in Milwaukee, WI to Theresa Wenzel and Frank Halase. He departed this Earth on December 28, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Halase, his mother, Theresa Wenzel, seven daughters Lisa Dixon, Tammy Halase, Kim Loveland, Mindy Todd, Yolanda Nolde, Bobbie Goldie, and Samantha Haagen, and two sisters Maggie Janiszewski and Mary Halase. He also leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Michael is a veteran of the Vietnam War where he served with distinction as a Marine and earned the National Defense Service Medal. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest.

Michael grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was a very proud and religious man who loved his family more than anything that life had to offer him. For Michael the act of living was about making you feel accepted, needed and loved. After his family, friends and God, his next loves in life were Pabst Blue Ribbon, all things Harley Davidson, the Packers, and fishing. Every person that crossed paths with Michael was touched by his sense of humor and the gift of one of his jokes. We will all think fondly of a man who will never be forgotten and will forever be appreciated. May you rest in Peace.

A Memorial Service will be held honoring Michael on Sat. Jan. 3, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at the Zabolocki VA Medical Center, 5000 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI. Father Norman Oswald will officiate. Family and friends will gather prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Private inurnment at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove, WI. In lieu flowers, memorials to St. Jude, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142 Memphis, TN 38101-9908 appreciated.

alot of years back, my kids come running into the house telling me there is a strange man laying under my sisters’ house. So we go out and look. OMG there is a strange man under there. We tried to wake him up, all of a sudden a voice says to me “look Linda, I’ll paddle your ass, I use to change your diapers”..WHAT… don’t even know this person…. well Mike that was when you entered my life again. Being one of the younger cousins I didn’t really remember you. But it was so nice getting to know you again. I love you and will miss you.. Rest in Peace my cousin… Walk with the angels,
