Passed away on Monday June 20, 2016, age 57 years. Loving husband of Rose(Nee Iwan)(Formerly Edic). Father of Andrea Vonckx and Sharon Edic. Grandfather of Tosh, Orion, Levi, and Kai. Brother of Lorna(Gary) Perski, Darrell Jacobs, Karen(Roger) Asiala, Shelly Newman(Steve), and Faron(Alison) Jacobs. Preceded in death by his parents Leroy and Donna Jacobs. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday from 5-7PM at the Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will follow at 7PM. A second visitation will be held Saturday from 10-11AM at the Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM.

Merlin was a longtime member and most recently pastor at Grace Chapel and worked for Veolia Water as a computer console operator.
