In memory of Melissa Nieskes of West Allis. Loving Mother of Haley Nieskes and Nero Krause. Daughter of Randy Cleveland and Terry Nieskes. Sister of Michael Nieskes, Sarah Nieskes (Kyle Schneider) and Joseph Cleveland (Kasey Wilichowski). Niece of Mary Stowe. Aunt to Michael Nieskes, Anastasia Nieskes, Jayden Bellant, Eva Bellanti, Aiden Schneider and Micah Schneider. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Melissa enjoyed spending time with her children and family going out to eat, camping and vacationing.
She worked as a stagehand in Milwaukee I.A.T.S.E. (Local 18). She loved her job working at Fiserv, AMFAM Field, Riverside, Alpine Valley and other venues.
A memorial will be held on June 11 at the West Milwaukee Community Center (1345 S. 47th St.) from 12-4pm.
I was one of Melissa’s supervisors when we were porters at Fiserv Form. I also worked along side her as a stagehand at several venues in Milwaukee and Chicago. I always enjoyed working with her. I will miss seeing her at work, she always brightened the shift. My condolences to Terry, Randy, Michale and the rest of her wonderful family.
I only knew Melissa through work. She was always focused, hard working and friendly on the job. She was very dedicated to learning new skills when training opportunities arose. She will be missed. My deepest condolences to Terry, Randy and the rest of Melissa’s family.
Melissa was one of the only people nice to me at Longfellow Elementary school. She would share cat stickers with me and was one of the few people who actually came and played with me at my house. That kindness shined through anything and everything to a lonely little girl.
Rest Easy my friend.

Happy Birthday, Melissa… It has been close to twenty years since I saw you or Mikey… Your smile and sense of humor are unforgettable… When you would erupt with laughter, you would heal our wounds. I wish that we could trade places. Memories of you are blessings that I revisit whenever I feel misunderstood. You deserved an absolutely magical life with a happy ending. Thank you for being sweet and keeping our spirits high. Rest in peace, my beautiful friend.
