Mary Ann was a graduate of Syracuse University and worked at the National Bureau of Economic Research in New York City before moving to Milwaukee upon her marriage to Gino. Mary Ann returned to school in her forties and received her degree in nursing from MATC. She worked at Columbia Hospital for 30 years. She was a devoted advocate for her geriatric psych patients and considered the staff a second family. Her many passions included traveling, reading, playing bridge and Scrabble, and advocating for human rights and the environment. She was vibrantly active in the community, serving as a docent at the Milwaukee Art Museum and a teacher at Literacy Services of Wisconsin. She was a vibrant patron of the arts and a vigorous lifelong learner. Most of all, she was endlessly engaged, and greatly loved being with family and friends.

Donations to Zilber Family Hospice and Literacy Services of Wisconsin appreciated.
