Prof. Westerhaus was a kind and patient teacher. I appreciated his pastoral example and the character that he showed the students at the Seminary.

He was a fine man and a great example. I will carry the life lessons learned from him with me for the rest of my life. Until we meet again, ‘Pa’ Westerhaus…..

I will always remember your whole family – MaryAnn, Mark, Pastor and Mrs. Westerhaus.
He was a kind and patient teacher who expertly shared and explained the Bible.
Bible history came alive as he taught us.
I didn’t realize until later some of the lessons he taught us about life and living a Christian life, no matter what circumstances you are given.
I pray for comfort for the family, with the knowledge that he has gone on ahead to heaven.

Mari and family,
We rejoice with you in his victory in Jesus, and we mourn with you as you continue your life on earth without him. May God grant you comfort and strength in the days ahead until our heavenly reunion.

To Mrs. Westerhaus and Marianne,
He was our pastor and teacher. We loved him and will miss him. Always in our memories and thoughts throughout the years. I will never forget him. Our thoughts and prayers to his family. He was a blessing to all who knew him. He set an example as to how to live our lives no matter what came our way, with God and Jesus as our Guide.
He is with all our loved ones who have gone before us, this is such a comforting thought.
Our love to all of you,
Maribeth (Sternberg) Yanke

We send our deepest sympathy and rejoice that by God’s grace in Christ Martin now has his place in eternal glory. Our memories go back to the days when we met together in the pastors’ study club of the Dodge-Washington Conference.
