Marilyn Mildred Waldoch (nee: Siewert)

September 29, 1935 – October 23, 2023

With saddened hearts we share that our dear mother, Marilyn Waldoch, peacefully passed on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the age of 88 after bravely enduring challenging years with compromised health.

Marilyn’s legacy lives on in her loving family of two daughters, D’Etta Waldoch Snyder (Steve), and Laurie Schweitzer (Dan, deceased); four grandchildren, Kelly Peplinski (Jeff), Jared Koser (Molly), Kayla Schweitzer, Andrew Koser (Kristine); five adoring great grandchildren, Sophia Peplinski, Aubrey Koser, Madison Koser, Edward Koser and Elsie Koser; brother-in-law Chuck Waldoch (Jane); two sisters and a brother, and many nieces and nephews and cherished friends.

Marilyn was born in Ripon, WI on September 29, 1935, to Lawrence and Mildred Siewert, where she lived with her family including Dale Siewert (Jane), Lynette Bahr (Gary), and Carol Stratton (Don, deceased), until moving to Milwaukee at the young age of 18. There, she met the love of her life, Edward Waldoch, (parents Edward Sr. and Alice, deceased) and they shared a full and beautiful life for more than 63 years, until he preceded her in death in 2018.

Marilyn and Ed literally danced through life together – from jitterbugging (even on roller skates) in the 50’s – to country line dancing in the later years, and were usually the first, the last, and the best dancers on the floor at any gathering. They found creative ways to travel the USA with family and enjoyed island-hopping with friends. Together, they started the Franklin Senior Walking Club. Marilyn was also an avid gardener – canning and pickling in the Fall, could play a mean game of sheepshead, pinochle or progressive rummy, and was meticulous at sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her home was always immaculate.

The family wishes to thank mom’s many caregivers at Froedtert Hospital, particularly Horizon Hospice, Hale Corners Care Center, and the dedicated staff at The Woods where mom found friendship and serenity.

Rest in peace, Mom. We’re missing you now, but comforted knowing you are dancing carefree with Dad in Heaven.

Visitation to be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 South 27th Street, Oak Creek, WI, 53154; service at 11:30 am, with a Celebration of Life luncheon to follow.
