Maria Teresa Velasquez, age 61, of Milwaukee, WI, passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2025, after a battle with cancer.

Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico, Maria immigrated to Milwaukee in 1967. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose heart and home were always open to others. She is survived by her children: Salvador (Junior) Ordonez II, Maricela Vazquez, Jorge Alfonso Velasquez III, Leticia Velasquez, and Javier Raul Serna; and by her grandchildren: Salvador Ordonez III, Esteban Ordonez, Fiona Violet Ordonez, Eliana Vazquez, Joaquin Adrian Vazquez, Gabriel Vazquez, and Sindri Iktan Rodriguez. She is also survived by three brothers, six sisters, and many extended family members.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents, two of her brothers, and one of her nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at:

    Ojala pudiera devolver el tiempo, para verte de nuevo, para darte un abrazo y nunca soltarte. Mas comprendo que llego tu tiempo, que Dios te ha llamado para estar a su lado asi El lo quiso. Pero yo nunca pense que doliera tanto. Te lo dije en vida y lo seguire diciendo fuistes la mejor amiga que Dios pudo haberme prestado, gracias a Dios por el privilegio que tuve de haberte conocido y que fueras parte de mi vida. Un dia te vere de nuevo.
