Maria Otero, 89, passed away peacefully on November 26th, 2023, at her home in Poinciana, Florida. She was the beloved wife of Angel Otero for 59 years.

Maria was born in Pharr, Texas but her family eventually relocated to Waukesha, Wisconsin. She was one of the first Hispanic families to live in the area. Maria was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandma, sister, and auntie. She had a good sense of humor and was known for her ability to bring smiles and laughs to all around her. She enjoyed reading and writing, singing lullabies, and spending time with her family during the holidays. She had a keen ability to fashionably match her outfits from head to toe.

In her last days she was filled with an abundant amount of gratitude for the smallest things starting and ending each day with a ‘Thank You.’ She was present in all things, and thankful for all things. Maria will be forever remembered for her kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband Angel Otero, daughter Nancy Brunette, daughter Pamela Martinez (husband Filo), son Kelly Brunette (wife Maria) and daughter Linda Mercado (husband Anthony). Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Joining her daughter Bianca Causey in eternal life.

Such a blessing to have met you. You were such a gentle soul and so loving..To advice in fashion and being so honest on how I dressed will always stay with me. Only because you made me laugh on how blunt you were with me. I can never forget. Thank you for just being you and always accepting and being kind to me.
