Margaret Waldoch Sikorski

Margaret passed away Feb 23, 2022 at the age of 88.

Margaret Sikorski, 88, peacefully entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Shorehaven Memory Care in Oconomowoc, WI.

The second child of the late Theodore and Frances Waldoch, Margaret was born on April 10, 1933 in Stevens Point, WI. Her beloved twin sister Mary arrived a few minutes before her on April 9 before midnight. Margaret attended the old McKinley grade school and St. Stanislaus Catholic School, graduating from St. Joseph Academy in 1951.  Margaret and her twin sister Mary loved singing!  While in high school they performed at many local events, including a spot on the radio with Wisconsin star Dave Dudley. Margaret worked at Krembs Furniture Centre in Stevens Point and CTA Services in West Allis.

Margaret married Emil Werwinski and lived in West Allis, WI where they raised their 7 children.  Later they divorced and Margaret married Eugene Wroblewski and lived in Stevens Point, WI near her twin sister, Mary.  After Eugene passed away Margaret was blessed meeting, John Sikorski who she married and stayed in Stevens Point with until he passed away. She then moved to New Berlin, WI to live with her daughter Carol.  After several years she moved to Oconomowoc, WI to live with her daughter Diane.  She also enjoyed staying with her son Robert on weekends for the view and visits to Holy Hill.

Margaret was the sweetest, most kind hearted, generous person you would ever meet. Every one she met loved her. She enjoyed listening to all kinds of music especially her favorite the Tennessee Waltz.  She loved being a homemaker. She enjoyed singing, gardening, word search puzzles, reading, saving articles, and watching cardinals in the trees. She was also a Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Her strongest love was for her 7 children and truly loved when grand and great grandchildren would visit. She was very religious and a devout Catholic. She was very proud to be an identical twin with her sister Mary and always joked they were born on different days and that she was the youngest of the two.  Special thanks to, daughters Carol and Diane for the many years of selfless special care given to her when she moved to be closer to her children.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Diane (Randy) Iwanski, Brenda (Steve) Ward, and Carol (Brian) Malek; Werwinski sons, David (Jan Hermann), Robert (Sue), and Jim (Jodi Awe); stepson, Steve; daughter-in-law, Karen; sister-in law, Judy (Ted) Waldoch; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husbands, Emil, Eugene, and John; sisters, Mary, Rita, Theresa; brothers, Theodore and James; son, John; daughter in law, Debbie and grandson, Ted Hertel.

Visitation will be at 10:30 am – 12:00 pm and Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 pm at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Oconomowoc, WI on Tuesday, March 15th.  A private family burial will be held at a later date in Stevens Point, WI at St. Casimir’s Catholic Cemetery.

Also, special thanks to all the staff at Shorehaven Memory Care who took such great care of Margaret for the past 3 ½ years, as well as Legacy Hospice, she loved them all dearly and they all loved her too.

So sorry for your loss. My mother was Helen (Waldoch) Stroik. Her grandfather was Anton John Waldoch (1839-1911)). From the picture, your mother looked a lot like my mother.

Feel sad that my dad (Ted) family are all gone. But happy they are all together with God
in heaven watching over us. We will see them soon.
