Peter OSF, Sister Margaret (formerly Sister Mary Walter)
Born to Eternal Life Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the age of 94 years. Survivors include the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi with whom she shared Life for 74 years; sisters, Dorothy Arnold and Dolores Schultz; brother-in-law, Bill Krempges; niece, Theresa Sempek, and cousin, Sr. Justine Peter, OSF. Friends and relatives are invited to join the Congregation on Wednesday September 24 at St. Francis of Assisi Convent Chapel, 3221 S. Lake Dr. for the following: Welcoming of the body and Morning Prayer at 9 AM. Visitation from 9:30 – 10:10 AM. A Time of Remembering will be held at 10:10 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Prayer and committal will follow at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery Chapel. Contributions may be made to Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi Memorial Fund. Sister Margaret taught at St. John School for the Deaf for 30 years (1952-1982). She also wrote and self-published 25 reading/language workbooks for deaf children.
