Margaret L. “Marge” Rapala age 88 yrs, of Tomah WI. and formerly of Oak Creek, WI. Passed away Friday evening, July 20, 2012 at Cranberry Court assisted living facility, surrounded by family members. Marge retired from Best Way Bus Co. in 1990 with 22 years of service. During WW II Marge was a member of the Emergency Service Corps where she sold war bonds and attended U.S.O. functions. Marge was an avid Green Bay Packer fan who also enjoyed shopping, chocolate, roller skating, dancing, bowling, and taking care of her family. In her retirement Marge enjoyed shopping, chocolate, the Packers, traveling, spoiling her grandchildren, and taking care of the flowers her husband George and son Paul planted around her home in Oak Creek. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank “George” Rapala and a son Jeffery L. Rapala. She is survived by a daughter, Karen Harold Davis of Greenfield, IN.; two sons Garry Carla Rapala of Tomah, WI.; and Paul Rapala Rene Tehan of Oak Creek WI.; Three grandchildren, Kimberly Mike Lyons of Elroy WI.; Heather P.J. Walker of Homestead Fl.; and April Rapala of Tomah, WI., One step great great Grandchild Meagan McKenzie of Indianapolis, IN.. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. Visitation Thursday, 3-5 PM at St. Stephens church 1441 W. Oakwood Rd., with Mass of Christian Burial at 5PM. Private interment Forest Hill Cemetery . Memorials to Kidney Foundation, Tomah Memorial Hospital dialysis unit, or Palliative/Hospice services appreciated.
