Margaret “Maggie” Helen Verhaalen

Margaret “Maggie” Helen Verhaalen (nee Smith) was called home on December 27, 2022. Survived by beloved husband, Donald, loving children, DJ (Heather) and Chad (Jeannette), adored grandchildren, Isabella Sophia and Cameron James and devoted brother, Ken (Sue).

Margaret and Donald lived the true love story. High school sweethearts, they were married for 60 years, filled with love, laughter and memories. Family meant everything to Margaret. She made sure their home was always filled with a warm meal and lots of laughter…not to mention style and decor that riveled any boutique! Their home was picturesque, as they spent their summers gardening and enjoying picnics with family, their grandchildren and their pet, Riley. From Margaret’s infectious smile to her quick wit, she was glowing when she walked into any room. Her outward beauty was easily apparent, but so was her inner beauty of a tender heart, compassion, nurturing nature and kindness.

Margaret was so proud of her family, and she will be dearly missed. All of the memories that she made will be a part of us and we will do our best to continue that legacy.
