Marcella Matyasz (Nee Gadzichowski)

On October 17 Jesus took Marcella’s hand and brought her to His kingdom. She was the loving wife of the late Marion Matyasz, the love of her life, who she hopes to be reunited with.

Mom loved to talk to people – anywhere, anytime. She seemed to make friends easily. All our friends who we introduced to Mom liked her. When Dad died, Mom went to senior lunch and made new friends. Mom loved to talk, but she also listened to what others had to say, and Mom was fun, she knew how to laugh. Marcella loved to read. She took us to the library when we were young and we’ve been going there ever since. She read everything from mysteries, biographies and politics to MUTTS comics. Mom, Joan and I went to Oneida Casino in Green Bay every October or November for a 3-4 day vacation. We laughed a lot and would hang out at the free happy hour at the hotel. One of Marcella’s last wishes was to go to Potawatomi one more time. We took her there a few weeks before she died. She had a great time! And CATS, I am obligated to talk about cats. Marcella loved cats. Seems we’ve always had cats, 2,3,4 plus stray cats. Many of the beloved cats are buried in the yard. A neighbor once asked to bury their cat in Mom’s yard. Of course she said yes. To this day Marcella worried about her children. She wanted the best for us. Mom taught us it is an honor to help others. This is a lesson I believe we have tried to do. Our hearts are very sad even though we know it was time for Mom to leave us. We will miss her every day.

I’m gonna miss you My Chiquita- I already do. I’ll miss and ALWAYS TREASURE our : May-September friendship, long talks ( when there was never a moment of silence), the truths, sincerity, smiles and laughter that we shared. You were Truly A REAL FRIEND that made hard times bearable and good times, even better. You were a Blessing and present to me from God.
I’ll LOVE YOU FOREVER and You will always live on in my heart, mind and soul.
Fly on My SWEET ANGEL- until we gab again.
My Deepest Sympathy to The Family, and All who Love her and were Blessed with her presence. Praying that you All find Peace and Comfort in The Lord, and in the Heartwarming memories that you shared.
