Lynn Marie
Weiskopf

Lynn Marie Weiskopf of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2025. She was 37 years old.

Lynn was born December 15,1987 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Thomas and Sue Weiskopf, joining older brother Steve. As a child she was quiet and thoughtful, but equally strong and energetic, walking at a young age and wrangling worms in the back of the boat during family fishing trips. She was, without a doubt, the perfect complement to a boisterous brother, and beloved by her parents for her steadfastness. Her love of animals started early in her life and would remain a defining characteristic throughout her years.

She was a superior student and excelled in sports, most notably her love of gymnastics, which she pursued for ten years before defining a new passion in music. Her musical acumen saw her explore multiple instruments including piano, clarinet, and saxophone, which she played throughout her secondary education. After graduating from Pius XI High School in 2006, she went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where her determination, thoughtfulness, and intellect consistently impressed her professors. After graduation, true to her character, Lynn sought to position herself to do even more for those in need. She achieved a master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University in 2017 to help those we most like to forget.

In Milwaukee, she curated an active and vibrant social life, living with Steve for four years, during which time they had the run of the city. They spent an immeasurable amount of time together, painting apartments, going to concerts, watching cooking shows, making and eating delicious food, finding and making friends, pursuing new interests, and exploring the city – all of it together. Lynn found friends easily, and people adored being around her. Her charm, her calm, her compassion, and her comforting personality made everyone feel safe and welcomed, even if they had just met. Before relocating out of Milwaukee, she rescued her beloved dog, Lucy, in 2014, who would remain a constant companion for the rest of her life.

Her forever human companion came shortly after. On a Halloween night, dancing away at Mad Planet, Lynn found, then eventually married the love of her life, Kyle Krizan. Like all the best unions signify, they married in a simple wedding on February 8, 2021 in Baraboo, WI. The next year they bought their first house together in New Lisbon, WI, excited to put down roots in an area that nurtured their shared love of the outdoors: camping, hiking, fishing, and spending days adventuring with the dogs. Lynn even brought along her dad’s old fishing boat to get them started, finding the fish exactly where she knew they were. They felt at home among the trees and under the stars, making a home together in a place they both loved.

Despite mental and physical challenges in her later years, Lynn always remained a positive influence on those around her, and continued to care deeply for her family, friends and pets. She will be remembered for her perseverance, kindness, empathy and free spirit, and will be deeply missed by everyone that knew her. There are never words to express the loss of such a beautiful soul, but all should find solace in the fact she carried her love for us through the end. Lynn cherished, above all else, finding the most authentic version of herself, and then gently, firmly encouraging those around her to do the same. Her truth, as all truths, will guide her safely home.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Kyle; parents, Thomas and Sue; and brother, Steve (Amber).
