Lydia Esther Ramos

(nee Diaz) Entered into eternal life on April 13, 2018 at the age of 73. She is the beloved wife of Sergio Ramos for over 54 years. Lydia is the cherished mother of Lylian E. (Demetrius Boyd) Ramos, Saul (Juanita) Ramos, and Ruth E. (Jose) Ramos Laboy. She is the loving grandmother of Emily (Armando) Valdez, Jose (Stephanie Zdroik) DeJesus, Mariah Boyd, Celeste Boyd, Cristian Ramos, Izaac Quinones, Elijah Quinones, Miguel Laboy. The great-grandmother of Azariah Valdez, Azaleah Valdez, Dylynda Boyd, Adiana DeJesus and Ezio DeJesus. She is the dear sister of Angela Rodriguez, Luccy Cotto, Irma Cotto and Luis Raul Cotto. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation at AAFCJ – Centro Nueva Vida 835 W. Scott Street, Milwaukee, WI 53204 on Thursday April 19, 2018 from 4:00 PM until time of the Funeral Service at 7:00 PM and Friday, April 20, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time to process to Forest Home Cemetery.

I will always remember Sister Ramos for her generosity and understanding, her husband, Brother Sergio and her were always there for my family growing up. Every time we moved they were always there with their “wawa” helping us move. She was instrumental in helping my mother and us settle in our new town, new home and new church. I remember her helping my Mom with information on where and how to acquire help with certain assistance, for she new the struggle of a young mother with six kids to raise on her own.

I will always cherish those memories that sometimes seem like yesterday and sometimes a lifetime ago.
Her family was the First Puerto Rican family I met and I enjoyed very much learning the different words and culture , especially the delicious food.

May the Lord receive her with open arms.
