Lorraine Waskiewicz

(nee Feest)
Joyfully entered heaven on May 31, 2024, and reunited with her beloved husband, Leonard. Family could hear dad calling out, “Stella! It’s time to come home”.
Lorraine leaves behind her cherished children: Joseph (Sharol) Waskiewicz, Linda (Joseph) Yanasak, Lynn (Thomas) Heese, and Larry (Bonnie) Waskiewicz. Her legacy of love continues through her grandchildren: Sheree, Joshua, Amanda (Logan), Zachary (Rochelle), Allison (Ryan), Arielle (Joey), Madeline, Gillian, Kristi, and Chuck, as well as her great-grandchildren: Adeline, Sebastian, Ava, Waverlee, Wes, Anabelle, and Ripley. She is also survived by her sister, Carol Redzinski and her life long friend, Florence Morgan as well as many loving relatives and friends.
Lorraine lived life as a celebration of fun and family. She was known for her love of Skip-Bo, puzzles, the Hallmark Channel, and the Slots. Summer weekends and retirement were spent up north, where Lorraine had never met a stranger. She enjoyed her time at the campfire, fishing, playing cards, and Farkle.
We fully expect that Lorraine is now delighting in an endless loop of the Fourth of July and Christmas. While dearly missed, her memory will shine as bright as sparklers and glowsticks.
To honor Lorraine’s vibrant life, a visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 10 am – 12 pm at HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME (3801 S Howell Ave Milwaukee) with a funeral service at 12 pm. Interment to follow at ST. ADALBERT CEMETERY (3801 S 6th St Milwaukee).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you play a game of Skip-Bo, make a puzzle, watch a Hallmark movie, or try your luck at a slot machine in her memory.
Lorraine’s warmth, love, and zest for life will be dearly missed but always remembered.
Family would like to extend a special thanks to Aurora Zilber Family Hospice for their compassionate care during Lorraine’s last days.

We are very saddened by the passing of our Wisconsin mom. She was the first person we met at the lake when driving down the lane. Gil lovingly named her Mayor Lorraine because of the welcoming we got that day in 2005 or were you checking us out, Lorraine? Either way, we loved it! Lorraine, Lenny, Lynn and Tom became our family in every way. Our grandkids adored Lorraine as she treated them as her own. It would tickle us to hear the grandkids call her grandma Ralaine, when they were younger. She was always available for them, to talk, play games, ride with them on the golf cart, to hug them and to spoil them as they loved the glow sticks she always had for them! We were so grateful for her company during a weekend at the lake in February and it was always so heartwarming to see the love, caring and attention her daughter Lynn gave her with Tom close by her side. Lorraine’s life was so fulfilled by this and all of her loving family. Her family and friends are a true testimony of what a wonderful life Lorraine had. We will miss her dearly as she was a great part of our lives, but our peace comes from knowing that she is finally reunited with her sweet Leonard. Mom, you and Lorraine have a lot of catching up to do. Love you, Mama Lorraine.

Today we said our goodbyes. The service honoring Lorraine, her wonderful life, her amazing children and grandchildren…was filled with love, stories and happy memories. Lorraine had been surrounded by the love and support of her children, grandchildren, and friends during her life and was honored with a beautiful farewell! We enjoyed watching all of the darling great grandchildren who Lorraine always so lovingly talked about. We greatly thank the entire family for their kind welcoming!
