Lorraine J. Ringle

(nee Gresbach) Age 89, formerly of Milwaukee, died peacefully on June 15 at Asbury Heights in Mt. Lebanon, PA following a sudden illness. Beloved wife of the late Leonard S. Ringle, who for 62 years of marriage referred to her as “my best girl,” Lorraine is survived by her daughter Donna (Stuart) Kurland of Mt. Lebanon, grandsons Michael and Alex, and other relatives and friends.

Lorraine was known for her intricate needlework, love of reading and sharing a glass of wine with friends, as well as her prodigious skills as a baker. She was active baking apple pies at St. Bernard’s in Pittsburgh, PA and had previously contributed her time and talents to her home parish of St. Augustine’s in Bay View, Milwaukee. A 1938 graduate of Girls’ Technical High School, her first job was at a bowling alley where she met her future husband; she later performed clerical and bookkeeping duties for Cutler-Hammer and the American Academy of Beauty Colleges.

Friends will be welcomed at Laughlin Memorial Chapel, 222 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon Sunday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM in St. Bernard Church, 311 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, PA. www.laughlinfuneralhome.com

Visitation in Milwaukee will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM in the Chapel at St. Adalbert Cemetery, 3801 S. 6th St.. There will be a committal service at 11:00 AM with interment at Holy Trinity Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
