The Lord called home on July 25th, 2021 our beloved sister Lorelei, at the age of 90. Loving sister of Barbara (Thomas) Behl, Thomas (Beverly) and Mary Schneider-Bartell. Sister-in-law to Beverly Schneider. Aunt to Mary Ellen, John, Michael, Mark, Susan, Gary, Ann, Catherine, Carol, David, Lisa, Tommy, Bill and Sarah. Further survived by great-nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Mabel Schneider, sister Ann and two brothers John and Bill.
Lorelei loved her garden and enjoyed volunteering at Old World Wisconsin working as gardener in the German settlement for many years. She also taught many children how to ski being a member of Vagabond Ski Club in early years.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, from 5-8pm at Heritage Funeral Homes (4800 S. 84th St.). A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, August 7, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (1975 Beulah Ave, East Troy) starting at 11am. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Milwaukee.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Peter’s Parish for masses or educational funding.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Allay Hospice and Angels Grace Hospice for their compassionate care.
Lorelei was my friend in the early 60’s. We were on many ski trips together.. I have thought of her often over the years. May she rest in peace.
