Linda Lou Waldron (nee Mathews)
Linda Lou Waldron (Mathews), age 81, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer with her family by her side.
Linda was born on June 25, 1945, to Charles and Fern Mathews. She shared 63 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Arnold Waldron, building a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.
She is lovingly survived by her husband, Arnold; her son, Stephen (Jenny) Waldron; her cherished grandchildren, Hannah (Brandon) Whipple and Brett (Morgan) Waldron; and her treasured great-grandson, Arlo Whipple. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Nancy Kairis and Eileen DeMoulpied, along with other relatives and many dear friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fern Mathews; her son, Gregory Waldron; and her brothers-in-law, Everett Waldron and Raymond Kairis.
A graduate of Waterford Union High School, Linda continued her education at Gateway Technical Institute, earning a diploma as an Accounting Clerk. She began her career as a head cook at Highlands Restaurant and Colony Inn before serving as the office manager at Moerke Display & Manufacturing for more than 20 years. In retirement, she enjoyed working alongside her daughter-in-law at Flowering Fields flower farm for over a decade.
Linda often said her greatest achievement was raising her family. Nothing brought her more happiness than gathering loved ones around the table, preparing home-cooked meals, and creating lasting memories together. Her greatest joy was watching her family grow, especially spending time with her great-grandson, Arlo, who was the light of her life. She treasured attending her grandchildren’s baseball and softball games, school events, and celebrating each milestone.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. A devoted member of North Cape Lutheran Church, Linda faithfully volunteered in countless ways throughout the years. She was a true servant to her church family, generously sharing her talents by preparing meals and desserts, quilting, washing dishes, assisting with the church newsletter, and enjoying fellowship with the quilting ladies, book club, and Amazing Grays group.
Linda found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, cooking, baking, feeding the birds outside her window, and quietly watching them each day. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family and faith will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Ascension Wisconsin Health Center – Rawson Avenue – Reiman Cancer Center for the compassionate care they provided Linda throughout her treatment over the past three years. In addition, they would
like to thank the caring and dedicated staff of Heartland Hospice. Kyla, Morgan, and Angela were Linda’s angels as they cared for her during her final days.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, from 9am until the time of service at 11am at North Cape Lutheran Church (2644 124th St. Franksville Wi 53126).
