LaVerne M. Berens

LaVerne was called home on Monday, March 24, 2025 age 98 years. Loving mom of Perry Perkins Sr. and Preston (Roberta) Perkins Sr., having been preceded in death by daughter Pamela Perkins. Proud grandma of Marty, Patrick, Perry Jr., Jason, Alissya, Sheila, Melissa, Jennifer and Preston Jr. Further survived by 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation Thursday, April 3, 2025 at the HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME 6615 W. Oklahoma Avenue Milwaukee, WI 53219 from 11:00am – 12:45 pm. Funeral service at 1:00 pm. Rev. Silas Hasselbrook officiating. Interment Good Hope Cemetery.

Former member of St. Martini Ev. Lutheran church and most recently Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in West Allis. LaVerne was also a member of the Moose Lodge.

I had the honor of knowing a special person. Laverne.life was very interesting traveling playing pool bingo she even told us that she took a photography class when she was younger and could develop her own film. She had a very full and interesting life. We will miss her

My mother was very good friend’s with her they went on many senior trips together, and often my mother would drive her to wherever she needed to go. She had so much spunk. She will be missed greatly. We only wish we would’ve been notified to be able to make her service and pay last respects.
