LaVerne Dorothy Lewko (Nee Krenzien)
June 27, 1926 – April 28, 2025
Loving wife of the late George Lewko and beloved mother of Kathleen (late Charles) Causier, Jan (Joe) Barry, Judy (Mike) Burke. Grandma to Beth Causier (Ryan Bordash), Katie (Michael) Howell, Dan Causier (Amanda Radke), Jennifer (Dave) Dienelt, Julie Barry, Mary (Roberto), Jaimes and Matt Burke. Great-Grandma to Henrie, Slaton and Will, Ada and Roux, Allie and Max, Javi and Nina. LaVerne is also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Balistreri and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
LaVerne was a longtime member of her church; her faith gave her strength. She gave generously of her time to lead the Girl Pioneers and sing in the choir, as well as serve her church community in countless other ways for many years. LaVerne was a retired employee of the Milwaukee Public Schools. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to Nain Lutheran Church.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 11:00am – 12:00pm followed by a service at 12:00pm at NAIN LUTHERAN CHURCH 1665 S. 57th St. Milwaukee, WI 53214. Burial to follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery.
