Laura L. Ulmer (nee Huffman)

Entered into eternal life on August 30th, 2025, at the age of 83. Laura is survived by her children Denise (Tom) Dobersztyn, Kathryn Ulmer, Cynthia (Stephan) Gross, Jeffery (Holly) Ulmer, and Frederick (Nicole) Ulmer. She is also a proud Nana of 14 grandchildren: Amanda, Aimee, Jessica, Nikki, Nicholis, Gabriella, Aaron, Brian, Brandon, Hannah, Jennifer, Meghan, Laura, and the late Tommy Steffes. Great-Grandma of Daniel, Elijah, Alivia, Madison, James, Cypress, Natasha, Cora, Silvia, Cole, and Lumi. Beloved sister of Joe, David, and Wendell as well as the late Ronald and Richard.

A woman of great faith, Laura always carried her rosary and found comfort and strength in prayer. Her face lit up when she was surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She had a zest for life’s simple pleasures, from enjoying Taco Bell or a cheeseburger smuggled in to her assisted living facility by her daughter Cindy, to getting her hair and nails done, to cheering on the Milwaukee Brewers. She especially loved music, with the Bee Gees holding a special place in her heart.

She will be missed dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 12th, 2025, at St. Charles Borromeo (5571 S. Marilyn St. Milwaukee, Wi) from 10-11am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following visitation.

I am Margie, Aunt Rose’s oldest daughter. So sorry to say, I haven’t seen LauraLee since we were very young.. She moved to Milwaukee and I moved to Florida. I do have a story that my , sister Janet told me. Laura Lee lived in a Condo in Milwaukee and had a friend Donna who lived there as well. Donna was talking about her Aunt Rose’s. Laura Lee said I have an Aunt Rose, she sounds like my Aunt Rose. They were both talking about my mother. Donna was my mother’s niece from my Dad’s side of the family..
I’m so happy she had such a large and beautiful family. I’m so sorry for your loss.
    I’m sad too.
