(nee Georgson) Called home to the Lord on Saturday, October 30th, 2021 age 65. Beloved wife of Allen. Dear mother of Nichole (Paul) Ficken, Jamie (Jeff) Wheeler, Jaclyn (Melvin) Beversdorf and Katie (Jason) Sielski. Loving grandmother of Timothy, Lily, Lucy, Nathaniel, Levi, Theodore, Obadiah, Phoebe, the late Isabel, Edison, Elizabeth, Alicia, Mabel, Gabriel, Sebastian, Charolette, Pearl, Willa Minnie, the late Enoch, Boaz, Ruby, George and Millie. Daughter of Maynard and Carol Georgson. Daughter-in-law of Edward Brook and the late Phyllis. Also survived by sisters, Connie (Tom) Coogan, Vicki (Doug) Mertz, and brothers Jeff (Chris Echtner) Georgson, and Glenn Georgson,  Bryon (Susan) Georgson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kathy was born in Milwaukee, first attended school at Ebenezer Lutheran, then Victory, before starting at Our Father’s Lutheran Elementary School in 3rd grade. She was confirmed in her baptismal faith during 8th grade with Pastor Kohlstedt. She attended Martin Luther High School and married Allen Brook on June 29, 1974.

She was a homemaker and a loving mother, and had also worked at Layton State Bank and St. Paul’s West Allis Preschool. She loved sewing, baking, family parties, scrapbooking and making picture books, swimming, hiking, camping, and vacationing all over the United States with her husband and family, when they could be part of the adventure.

She quoted her confirmation verse often and lived out her faith in love for her own family, her church family, her friends and neighbors. Kathy (called Nana by many grandkids) has won the victory, her strife is over, her battle won, and she lives forever in heaven with Jesus Christ.

“ For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8

Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at OUR FATHER’S LUTHERAN CHURCH (6025 S. 27th St.) from 10AM until the time of service at NOON.

If so desired memorials to Our Father’s Lutheran Church and school appreciated.

Mrs. Brook was such a wonderful woman. She always made me feel welcome at the Brook home as a teen and young adult. I’m so sad she’s gone, and wish comfort to all of you.

I have so many fond memories of growing up with Kathy and the Georgson family on Iona Terrace in Milwaukee. We moved to CA when I was a teenager but were able to return for Kathy’s wedding. I will never forget Kathy’s beautiful soul and smile.
