Judith J. Hanson (Nee Priebe)

Called home to the Lord on Saturday, June 1st, 2024 at age 83. Beloved wife of Richard for 64 years. Dear mother of Sue (John) Boehler, Jim (Mary) Hanson, and Sandy (The late Jim) Heida. Loving grandmother of Shannen (Richard) Ellis, and Zach and Sarah Heida. Loving great-grandmother of Masen and Ryleigh Ellis. Dear sister of the late Carol Grunert. Sister in-law of Nancy Nelson and the late Beverly Ruffert. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a strong Christian who was a loving and caring individual who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Some of the things she enjoyed that created the most memories include:

  • Hosting holiday dinners and family events in which nobody ever left hungry
  • Bowling
  • Playing cards
  • Making cheesecake as well as holiday cookies and candies
  • Watching the Brewers and Wheel of Fortune

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at OUR FATHERS LUTHERAN CHURCH (6025 S 27th St) from 4pm until the time of service at 6:30pm. Entombment at Forest Home Cemetery.

She was a great role model and will be greatly missed but we know she is no longer suffering and is in Heaven with Jesus and other friends and family members. We will see her again in the future.

Rest in Peace.

If so desired, memorials to Our Fathers Lutheran Church appreciated.

“Jude” as I her by way of her daughter , Sandy, was an amazing and selfless loving mother. She was devoted her family. I never heard anything but wonderful things about her- always helping her family- a tremendous lady. I know she will be deeply missed – may she rest in peace. Our deepest sympathies to Rich and all that knew and loved her.
