Julia Flores, his daughter in law

My Papi was an amazing man. He showed me what love, courage and being there for others really looked like. No matter what he was feeling he always said he was ok and was more worried about how others felt. He once told me that in life all we are promised is death so you better get right with Jesus and he meant what he said. I will remember all the moments we shared and keep them close to my heart as that is where he will remain for me. I cherish the times when he would dig in my pocket for only he could to get treats. I will cherish the times he yelled at me when I had to stop carrying them for it was not good for him. I miss him yelling at me for taking stuff that was not good for him away and giving him water instead. I miss his face when I said Do you want Mami or Joe. His face would light up with such joy when he looked at Mami. The quiet moments when he kicked everyone out his room but me and placed his blanket over his face after he said you ok Mamo. He was so happy when the house was filled with people because he knew Mami was enjoying herself and he was resting in peace. I love this man with all my heart and am so lucky that he and Mami raised their children the way they did. For I am blessed to be married to Joel, a man with a big heart. Papi I will miss you so much and I know you are in heaven watching over all of us. Thank you for loving me and my children. Rest in peace now Papi.
