Life is a journey-Joyce’s journey began on March 21, 1949, when she was born to Ted and Muriel Schweitzer. Bedsides becoming a daughter, she also became a sister to Roy, Ron, Judy, and Janice. As she journeyed through life, she worked at MUSOD from July 14, 1980, where she was hired as a department secretary and retied on March 31, 2015, as Support Staff Supervisor. During her journey with us she was not only a daughter and sister but also a wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed country, music, visiting the casino and cuddling with her dogs. Her journey is completed, and God has called her home to be with her mom and dad, and her two best friends, her sister Janice (Schweitzer) & her daughter Lisa (Kosciesza). She leaves behind her two brothers Roy (Barbara) and Ron (Diane) Schweitzer, her sister Judy (Taylor) Marquardt and her son Scott Koss (Paula) and his two sons, Harrison, and Everett.


A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday November 4, 2022, at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT PARISH, S. 60th and W. Oklahoma Ave. from 10-10:45am with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Private family inurnment Holy Apostle Church Cemetery.
