Went into Jesus’ arms on July 30th, 2013 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Staben). Loving son of Olga (nee Wanda) and the late Joseph Rocki. Loving father of Elizabeth Dietrich, William (Sandy) Rocki and Diana (Paul) Spada. Grandfather of Amber (Hicham) El Karaoui and Steven Dietrich (fiancé of Karie Lamb). Further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation at the funeral home on Friday August 2nd, from 4-7PM with prayer service at 6:30PM. Visitation continues Saturday August 3rd at St. Andrew Ev. Lutheran Church, 1132 W. Oklahoma Ave, from 1PM until time of service (1:30PM). Private interment Arlington Park Cemetery.

My father was the kind of man who accepted you just the way you are. You could sit and talk with him for hours about anything and everything. He was kind, loving and a strong man who was always there for his family and friends. He would do anything he could for those in need and never expected anything in return. He was steadfast in his beliefs and lived his life that way. The most difficult thing to see was his freedom and independence being taken away little by little. You just wanted to give him a big hug and somehow make it better. Still he never complained and always was more concerned with others and their well being. He was a trooper through it all and everyone who knew him couldn’t help but instantly love him and his smile. He was taken away from us too soon but left behind lot’s of great memories. Every time I watch the Indy 500, I will think of him and smile. He will have the best seat in the house! Pop, you will always be in my heart, I love you and I look forward to the day I can see you again.

Diana,only met you’re Dad a few times but he made a lasting impression on me as a wonderful, kind and strong man. I knew my Brother was in good hands with Joe around.
As you know,he gave me a prized possesion that I look at occasionally with fond thoughts of Joe.
I’m so sorry for you’re family and the World’s loss.
