Joseph M. “Jomer” Miller

Passed away Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at the age of 42. Loving husband of Kelly Zimmermann. Beloved father of Noah, Ella, and Zachary and step-father of Amber Rose. Dear son of Joseph (Sue) Miller Sr. and Mary Kay Miller. Also survived by other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16th, from 4 PM – 6 PM at the funeral home. Eulogy Service will follow at 6 PM.

For years Joe was an active member of the Milwaukee music scene drumming for Rabid Aardvarks, Scavenger, and several other bands over the years. Joe enjoyed drumming, cooking, road trips, and experiencing new things. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his family, whether it was making special plans like Brewers games, Great America, Monster Jam, or simply spending time playing video games with the kids and hanging out around the fire listening to music. For the last nine years, Joe worked in carpentry as a custom cabinet maker and CNC operator at Kitchen Kraft. He enjoyed working with his best friend, Shawn, and considered everyone at the shop family. Joe was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to help offset the cost of this unexpected and devastating loss. For those who are unable to attend the services and would like to help, donations can be made through GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/e01d413b, Venmo: @Kellyrosemiller, CashApp: $kellyroase, or PayPal: @kellyroase.

I’m terribly sorry about Joey. I was one of the lucky ones that got to know Joey at KKB. He was one of a few people that knew music like I did. I thought of Joey as a Friend. He was a hard worker and a good guy. You will be missed. Rest my friend

Our hearts were broken when you were called home so unexpectedly. I’ve known you since you and Shawn were in grade school and it just doesn’t seem real. I know Shawn has been devastated by your passing. You were, and will always be a great father, husband and son as you send down your love from heaven. Thank you Joe for being such a great friend to Shawn and so many. You may be gone but you will never be forgotten. RIP Joey.
