My deepest sympathy on the passing of your mother.

I remember your mother best as a person who regularly kept in touch with my mother, even when dementia had completely overtaken my mom. She was very kind and thoughtful to do that. I also remember your mother as a person who showed interest in me and my activities when I would come to visit Grandma King, ages ago.

I’ll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Dear Lilley and family,

I was very sad to hear about your mom. From the time I was a little girl, your mom was very special to me — she was always around when we visited and forever good for a chat, stories from the “old days”, a meal, and — if you needed it — a new hairdo. I know our mothers were good friends and sisters to each other, too. That’s a nice thought! There are a bunch of old family films from Uncle Wayne that I will watch again soon to revisit those happy memories.

May God bless and keep you and yours. Keep in touch.

With much love,
