Joan B. Leggett (nee Leonard)
Born to Eternal Life May 3, 2024, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Deacon James for 62 years. Loving mother of Jeffrey, Michael (Rosemary), Janel (Ted) Bucci, and Jill (Kevin) Stellmacher. Caring grandmother of Jeffrey, Jonathan, Michael, James Patrick, Roseida, Sean, Maria, Gina, Hannah, and Heidi. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren, other relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Lester and Mathilda. Joan worked many years in the family insurance business. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling the world, spending time at her home up north, reading, and watching classic movies. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses who provided Joan with such loving care.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4 PM – 6:45 PM, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church (6060 W. Loomis Rd.) Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 7 PM. Private interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Alphonsus.
What a wonderful life Joan lived. Deepest sympathy for family. Jim was my first insurance agent back in the 79’s before I moved to Florida. Blessings and great memories for all
