Jean “Jeanie” Pilak passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at the age of 79.
Jeanie was the beloved wife of Gary Pilak for more than 58 wonderful years. She was the loving mother of Andy (Jamie) Pilak and Tina (Tony) Lentz, and the proud grandmother of Wesley, Morgan, Madison, Alyssa, and Hailey, who brought her endless joy.
She is further survived by her sisters, Peggy Sobczak, Diane McFadzen, and Pat Holmes; her sister-in-law, Barbara Czubakowski; as well as many other cherished relatives and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry.
Jeanie dedicated more than 55 years to her career as a beautician and was the proud owner of Hairs Lookin at You. Through her work, she built lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless clients with her kindness, warmth, and caring spirit.
Outside of work, Jeanie found great happiness in cooking and baking for those she loved. She was known for her boundless energy, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. Her selflessness, compassion, and love for family and friends will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Jeanie’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and all whose lives she touched.
Jeannie will be missed by all. She was a loving Grandmother to my Granddaughters Alyssa and Hailey Lentz. I always said she should open a bakery. She was an exceptional cook and baker.
Always offering her cakes and pies. I will miss her.

One of my fondest memories is Jeanie sitting on the front step of her home and watching all the kids (my son,too) to make sure they were behaving and being mindful and safe. She will be missed. My condolences to Gary, Tina and Andy and the whole family.
