McCann, Janice L.

(nee Simpson) Of Raymond. Passed away peacefully and joined her beloved husband and best friend, Gary D. (Butch) McCann, in Heaven, on February 16, 2026, at the age of 87 years. Together, they lovingly raised four children: Kelley (Dave) Mitchell, Kristine McCann, Kendall (Cathy) McCann, and Kyle (Marnie) McCann. Proud grandmother of Michele (Justin) Barnes, Samantha Stelmachowski (Brian Kroenke), Scott Battisti (Cherie Ann), Stephen (Katy) Battisti, Jason, Joel (Ally), Jessie (Kelly) McCann, and Fred (Cassie), Jack (Abigail), and Robert McCann (Taylor). Devoted great-grandmother of Andrew (Hannah) Czarnik, Taylor Battisti (Nathan Hassler), Mason and Riley Battisti, Kieran and Rowan McCann, Alex and Theo “Butch” Kroenke, and great-great-grandmother of Paisley Hassler. Janice is survived by her cherished sister, Sheryl Johnson. She was preceded in death by her sister Sandra Eggert, sister-in-law Carol Potter, her brothers-in-law, Bill Eggert, Harry Johnson, and Gary Potter. Further survived by many loved nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear and special friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 11:30 am, held at the Hideaway Pub & Eatery, 9643 S 76th St., Franklin, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Janice’s name may be directed to North Cape Lutheran Church Cemetery Funds, 2644 Raynor Ave, Franksville, WI, 53126. Janice’s family wishes to thank Pastor Sheila Rawn of North Cape Lutheran Church and Chaplain Michael Roeschlein with VITAS Hospice.

    Jan was an amazing lady. She will be missed. I am sorry that I missed her celebration of life.

    I volunteered with Jan. Then 4 of us continued to get together for lunches. She was always full
    Of life and enjoyed everything she did. She lived her family and really loved spending time with them. Packer parties and holidays. Missing her.
