Genrich, Janet Raye, (nee Forss)

Born to Eternal Life on October 18, 2021, at the age of 81.  Reunited with her beloved husband Gary in Heaven.  Dear mother of Lori (Scott) Strobl, Brian  (Lori) Genrich and Kristin (Jim) Shimeck.  Proud grandma of Sean, Alex (Meghan) and Jacob Strobl, Taylor (Josh) Hoehnke, and Jamie (Joe) Stephens.  Cherished great-grandma of Evelyn.  Dear sister of the late Don (Anna) Forss, Holly (Dick) Seymour, Dick (Debbie) Forss.  Sister-in-law of Kathy (John) Gilligan.  Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Raye Forss.  Also survived by other relatives and friends.

Family and friends will gather at the Heritage Funeral Home, 16880 W. National New Berlin 53151 on Thursday, October 28 from 4-5:45 pm. Memorial Service at 6:00 pm.  Private interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Jan and Gary owned Rallye Productions, and enjoyed attending car club events.  She loved singing in the church choir and being the treasurer of her kids’ high school band.

Jan was an enthusiastic quilter who attended many workshops and frequently invited family members to “shop” in her plentiful fabric stash.  She enjoyed making many beautiful quilts for charitable organizations, family members and friends.

If so desired, memorials to Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Waukesha appreciated.

    My childhood memories of Aunt Jan we’re the happiest times. We loved visiting them. She will be missed… but so glad she’s not suffering anymore.

    Jan, (Mrs. Genrich to me for most of my life) was a cherished family member, friend and 2nd, Mom to me. and I will miss her dearly. I’m praying for her family and friends who will miss her as much as I will. She was an amazingly kind, caring, thoughtful, and talented lady who will be dearly missed. Heaven has gained a wonderful new angel. I can only imagine how many beautiful quilts she will be making in heaven!

    😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢this is beautiful Lori… she loved all of you more than words could express. She cherished her dear friends with all her heart. Thank you for. all the prayers they held us all together. She was my dearest sister but my closest friend and confident. I treasure every day I had with her. She made me laugh and cry we buried our mom and dad together holding each other up. No one can ever replace her in my heart..”I know she is with Her Lord we talked about that a lot. She said they are waiting for me they are waiting for me …. I am so thankful she is out of pain and with the Lord she was ready and He answered her prayer … Rest In Peace with all our love forever and always… your Little sister holly😢😢😢😘

    Our thoughts and prayers are with you Brian & Lori. Your mom was a very special lady and so thankful she knew Jesus as her Savior and passed that to you and your families. Can’t wait to see her in heaven. She will be missed!
