Oh do I ever remember the puns. What fun. She had such a quick wit when it came to puns. She appreciated any pun others came up with. She was willing to share her talents with others. When Baileys Harbor was celebrating an anniversary–I think it might have been 150 years, she came and was one of “our pioneers”, doing needle work as she sat on a bench on the grounds of our Town Hall. I remember her patiently teaching her fourth grade students to mke their own Ukranian egg. Some of the were really well done–others not so well, but after all they were fourth graders trying a new skill. I hope they remember what a unique learning experience that was for them. Don & I regret that we are anable to be at the visitation & funeral in person but continue to think of her and the times we have been able to be with her in the past years.
