On Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Janet Wehr passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family at the age of 95.

Janet was born on January 27, 1926 in Waunakee WI.  She attended nurses training in Janesville, WI and then started her nursing career at Woods Hospital, now Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center. Janet worked at several Milwaukee area hospitals in her career and retired from the City of Milwaukee as a public health nurse. Janet was with the US Cadet Nursing Corps during WWII.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph G. “Pinky” Wehr.  Loving mother of Gail (Bill) Chubbuck, Lois (Dan Gourley) Donahue and Rebecca (Jeff) Patin.  Proud grandma of Michael (Maggie) Chubbuck, Steven (Tina) Chubbuck, Kelly (Brian) John, Kristy Brown-Jones, Jon Casey (Bridget) Donahue, Jessica Knutowski, and Valerie Blaine. Proud great grandma of Grace, Gunnar, Taliya, Jayla, Taylor, and Avion. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her siblings Eleanor (Ray), Carol (Milt) and Thomas (Darlene).

Visitation will be held on Friday February 4, 2022 at the FUNERAL HOME from 11:30am-1:30pm with a Funeral Service at 1:30pm. Private family entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. If so desired, memorials to the Disabled American Veterans are appreciated.

    I have just seen the obit and remember Janet fondly. I was her window cleaner in Simsbury and have several of her works.. She was an amazing person and wonderful artist. I am sure you will miss her.
