HERITAGE FUNERAL HOME- 9200 S 27th St, Oak Creek

Janet Cook (nee Schultz) of Greendale, WI passed away peacefully, in her home on February 9, 2022 with family and friends Carol Bonne and Lois Powell at her side.  Janet was born on November 25, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI.  She is survived by her daughter and best friend Lisa (Jeff) Butzlaff, grandchildren Michael, Matthew (Linnea) and Kelsey (Cory Ninko) Butzlaff.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, parents Melvin and Elsie (Reinke) Schultz and brother and sister-in-law Melvin and Judy Schultz.  She is also survived by, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Janet graduated from Pulaski High School and retired from Allen Bradley (Rockwell) in 1997.  She was a strong advocate for animal welfare, enjoyed spending time in Door County WI, and found solitude in nature, with a profound appreciation for all living things.  Most of all, she cherished time spent with family and friends.  She had a deep respect and concern for the welfare of others, often going above and beyond in extending love and support.  Janet will be deeply missed by her family who adored her.

A special thank you to Horizon Home Care & Hospice for the exceptional care they provided for Janet.

In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated in Janet’s name to Horizon Home Care & Hospice or Wisconsin Humane Society Milwaukee Campus.
