Former husband of Joanne Colter (nee Perry).

Beloved father of Timothy (Debra) Colter, Kelly (Timothy) Doman and Gina Colter.

Loving grandfather of Alex, Annika, Camden, Katherine and Patrick. Further survived by other relatives and friends.

James was a Milwaukee Public school teacher and then became the Executive Director of the Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association, retiring in 1990.

Visitation Tuesday, December 22 at the funeral home from 5 PM until time of the Funeral Service at 7 PM.
