James ?Jim? Anthony Lucas
Found peace at his residence on November 5, 2002 at age 68 after a short battle with cancer. Born to Thomas and Anne Lucas on August 4, 1934 in Chicago, IL he was raised in the Chicago area. On November 2, 1962 he married Christa Karin Gutfleisch in Heidelberg, Germany. After they were married, they lived in Heidelberg, Germany and Fort Wayne, Indiana. They have been residents of East Troy for 28 years. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1976 and served in the Vietnam War. Upon honorable discharge from the military, he was employed by Trent Tube in East Troy as a Mill Operator and Inspector until his retirement in 1999.
Jim was a beloved husband to Christa nee Gutfleisch, loving father to Karen Joe Thibedeau of Muskego and James T. Lucas Christine of East Troy, wonderful Opa to twins Anthony and Nicole, as well as grandchildren Bradly, Courtney, and Amber. He is also survived by his brothers Tom Bernadette of Northbrook, IL, Jack Pat of East Troy, George Lorraine of East Troy, and Bill Marianne of Darien, IL. Jim is further survived by his brother-in-law Peter Gutfleisch and nieces Micheala and Manuela of Germany as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and Godchildren here in the U.S.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 7, 2002 from 4-8 pm at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Friday November 8, 2002 at St. Peter?s Catholic Church 1980 Beulah Avenue, East Troy at 11:00 am with visitation from 10 am until the time of service. Interment to follow at St. Peter?s Cemetery with full military honors.
