Jacquelyn "Jackie" A.
Ross

The world lost a kind and loving soul on October 26, 2016 when Jackie Ross passed away at her home at the age of 54. She was the loving mother of Ryan Dunai (Rachel Hensgen) and the beloved daughter of Wayne and Barbara (Block) Dunai.

Jackie was a proud grandmother to her greatest blessings, Jayden, Madison and Levi. The dearest sister of Kathie Perez, loving niece of Sandy (Robert) Cesario, stepdaughter of Irene (Steve) Gaulden and the lifelong friend of Laura (Eric) Olson.

Jackie was the adored aunt of Amanda (Don), Monica, Melissa, Michelle (Drew), Haley, Joshua, Keefe and Danny. She was a loving great-aunt to Michael, Emma, Annabelle, Jonathan, Julia, David and her namesake, baby Jackie.

Jackie worked for many years as a court reporter in the Racine and Milwaukee court systems where she leaves many broken hearted dear friends and co-workers.

Jackie was proceeded in death by her adoring grandparents Steve and Anna Dunai, Harold and Bernice Block, her parents Wayne and Barbara Dunai and her cousin Anna Cesario.

A special thank you to the caring, loving and dedicated people who provided Jackie the comfort and care that enabled her to remain in her home through her life. Her best friend Laura Olson, her daughter in law Rachel Hensgen, her cousin Dorothy Dunai and many visiting family members.

We will honor and celebrate the life of Jackie Ross on Friday, November 4th from 5-7 pm at Heritage Funeral Home, 9200 S 27th St, Oak Creek, Wisconsin. A short service will be held at 6pm. At Jackie’s request, there will be a Bloody Mary bar. She would be honored if you would perform a random act of kindness in her memory.

Jackie, you were my favorite floater court reporter. We only knew each other for the past five years, but I will remember you always. Your smile and laugh always lit up the courtroom. Until we meet again.

Jackie and I worked together as court reporters in the Milwaukee County Courthouse. She gave of herself so willingly and was always offering her help when I needed it. What I will remember most about her is how, in the midst of her own demanding life, she did offer assistance but also LAUGHTER and a sense of humor, which believed me, carried me on many a day!
I will never forget the sound of her laugh and the fun we had even when we were working harder than we ever believed we could!
Rest In Peace, Jackie — no, I’ve got to believe you are cracking jokes and having a blast in heaven!
