Junge, Ilmar
Passed away June 14, 2014 at the age of 70 years. Loving husband of Anda. Dear father of Andrei (Elizabeth) and Robert. Much loved grandfather of Jameson and Amalija. Son of Lonija Staks. Brother of John (Sigrida) Staks, Peter (Althea) Staks, and Martin (LouAnn) Staks. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends both in Lativia and America.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, from 10-11 AM, at Wisconsin Memorial Park (13235 W. Capitol Dr.). Funeral Service will follow at 11 AM. Rev. Lauma Zusevics officiating.

Love of family was most important to Ilmar. He also enjoyed gardening and tending to his flowers and plants. Ilmar realized his dream of starting his own business, Junge & Associates Inc., in 1976. Ilmar was very active in civic Glendale life, including serving on the plan commission, architectural board, the North Shore Library board, and many other committees. He always enjoyed participating in the Latvian community, including the fraternity Selonija. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Milwaukee Latvian Ev. Lutheran Holy Trinity Church roof fund.

To me, Ilmar was an inspirational man, and I’m thankful for the fact that I’d been able to stay in touch with him over the last several years. His love of family was obvious, and he spoke often of his children and grand children. I’m grateful to have known him. Thoughts and prayers to Anda, Andrei and Robert and their families.

I want to express my sympathy to the Junge family. Your hearts are sadden now but what a happy time it will be to see your love one again in God’s new world where there will be peace, joy, good health for eternity. John 17:3. So right now Ilmar is resting peacefully awaiting a time when he will be resurrected in God’s new world. Jehovah God loves you.

Anda & family, please accept my condolences and best wishes. I knew Ilmar primarily through the Glendale Chamber of Commerce and also helping him with his Apple iPod. I was fond of Ilmar and always enjoyed when we hooked up. A few times when I was over, he put on a Laphian Classical radio station as he knew how much I love classsical music. He also helped me to better understand Glendale’s history and enjoyed talking about building design too. Again, the very best to your family under very sad/difficult circumstances.

When I was a young man Ilmar hired me- my first real job out of college. I am grateful for the opportunity he gave me,the confidence he placed in me, the freedom he granted and the excellent company , Junge and Associates, he created. My sincere condolences go to Anda and all of your family. May you find peace in the memories you share with Ilmar and hope knowing that a piece of him lives on in all who he shared his dream with.

With sympathy,
Richard Sherer
