Dear Grandma,

Although we have been separated by distance during my adult years, you have bestowed impressionable and special memories throughout my lifetime that I will remember and cherish forever: when I was a little girl, you made me feel special when I spent the night. I loved the way that you spread butter before you put the peanut butter on my peanut butter sandwiches– Denny’s for dinner and Lawrence Welk before bed, the dry roasted peanuts in the closet, Shasta soda, counting the change in the bank in your back bedroom, All-Bran for breakfastyou couldn’t believe that I liked that! or eggs, whatever I wanted, playing your organ, walking to your house from Elm Lane, watching fireworks from your patio, gathering for Christmas and learning how to “snitch” the turkey before the meal started, getting our first dog, Stash, studying for finals at your house, cutting your grass and Saturday visits at our house.

Even though I am upset about your passing, I gain comfort in knowing that you are experiencing pure love and joy with Grandpa Flood, those who have passed before you, and, of course, Jesus.

I love you and miss you dearly.

Love Always,

Tracy Lemieux

Grandma I will always Love you ~ You will be missed!
